Eat, Drink, and be Merry...For Tomorrow We DIET!

dont you worry, the two phat chicks are stuffing thier faces with as much sweets and crappy food as possible (swedish fish, almondy joy peices, recies pieces, brownies, ice cream, and pina coladas... virgin of course) because tomorrow starts thier new years resolution... no sweets! meaning T and J will be refraining from all the crappy, yet oh so delicious dessert foods. of course this means you must eat as much as possible before then right??

T is very determined to get back in her fitness routine after being TERRIBLE over the holidays! Let's be honest, who didn't gain atleast 2 pounds over the holidays...or atleast feel disgusting? T sure does! haha. So she has been a good girl ;) and goes to the gym [despite the fact that it is pitch dark when she leaves at 6:00 am]! She just reminds herself when the alarm clock goes off, "you want to be skinny...it will all be worth it in the end...you can do it!" haha. But it's true...she CAN DO IT! :) and she will! So this morning T did a half hour on the elliptical [the one that glides on the wheels, not the arm moving one] dancin'/dying, to Jay Sean 'Do you Remember'. Yes...the whole half hour that song was on repeat :) and T loved every minute of it :)

jolly holiday

So we all know what time of the year it is... CHRISTMAS! although the two phat chicks are sooo excited for chirstmas to come, they are also a little bit upset that this wonderful holiday brings so much yummy and fattening foods!! but J was determined to make the best of her 2 week break and is determined to go to the gym every single day! so she woke up refreshed and ready to work her butt off! but as she went to the gym she realized her icky cold made her a little more exausted then she would have been. so she did some weight machines with her dear friend Stephanie. but as they went to the machines, they met an overly friendly, frankly kinda creepy man who was offering them help. lets just say they were a little weired out! he was telling J to "keep her fingers straight and push with her elbows to get the full affect of the ab machine" and kept saying "ya, see do you feel that" and "oh no you dont want to use that one, its all in your arms". haha so i guess its practically impossible for J to go to the gym with out meeting some sort of wierdo! but trust me readers...T and J are determined, yet again, to be good and workout and eat healthily this break. so that means...more blog posts!!

Today T went to the gym at 6:30 a.m. and did her 4.25 miles while jaming out to Lady Gaga and then after 'shuffle' on the ipod!! It made her want to DaNcE and get "low, loow, looow"! haha.

it's that time again...

So sadly the two phat chicks have yet again neglected their poor blog :[ they honestly love blogging about their stories but have been quite busy. J is feeling a little overwhelmed by school and college application craziness, and T with her new salon job. Now although this may be an excuse for not doing their blog, it should not be an excuse for neglecting their weight loss, which sadly they have. So starting tomorrow, they have vowed to start again on their weight loss path and have even made new goals. J has made a goal to lose at least 40 pounds by the start of college, which averages to about 5 pounds a month, and T has made a goal to lose 2.5 pounds a week with the help of her brand spankin' new BODYBUGG! which she is very excited about :] so please dear readers of our blog, keep us accountable, because we do have a history of slackin'.

sick = good!

Have you guys ever thought of sickness as a good thing? well J will be the first to admit that it sucks!! After 2 days of feeling like crap, being on the verge of throwing up, and sleeping for about every hour of those 2 days there was little time for anything else, including eating. So after the 2 days of misery subsided, J decided to jump on the scale, well not jump, she barely had energy to walk, becasue usually the scale was nice to her after being sick. Yes it may be a lie, false kindness, but hey she will take anything it gives. But this time, the scale was not only nice, it was downright gracious!! 10 pounds!! wow it was amazing! best part, unlike usual every single pounds didnt come back when she got better! The scale was both totally nice, and totally truthful. J's new take on sickness? Bring it on Mother Nature! thanks for my sucky imune system :]

93 and half year old in a 16 year old body?

Or other way around? Their comes a time in every persons live when have a mid life crisis. Accoring to five year old philosophy, J should have had hers years ago. AS J was baby sitting the cutest little kids, and while being used as both a human latter and slide, j was asked how old she was from the five year old girl. J's response was of course, "16". The 7 year old boy responded with, "wow your a youngin' " restoring J's faith in kids saying the funnniest thing imaginable. the 5 year old adorable little girls' next sentence, not so much. "why is your tummy so big for being so young" after thinking for a few seconds, "you should be at least....93 and half!" Wow. Needless to say it took a few seconds for J's response, should she burst out in laughter, like she wanted so badly to do, or tears? an equal desire. "umm...i dont know V" She settled with. So after that day of babysitting, J vowed to her self that she would try harder to loose some pounds, or should she say years?

YES...T and J have officially not done a blog in over a stinkin month!!! I'd say that is quite pathetic! Maybe it's because they have been naughty and need to find that motivation again??...i tink so ;)

So sorry...these posts' lately have mainly been about T because J has been so busy with school and life in general, and well...T has been a lazy donkey! haha. and to be honest the 2 phat chicks have not been doing as well as they should and could be doing {hence the no weigh-in wednesday's...T and J are ashamed! and hence no updated pictures of them...because they pretty much just look the exact same haha [[sorry tami]]}. but they did make mini monthly goals that will hopefully help them out a bit! :)


BUT...T found a new hobby that she enjoys. Riding her bike {that she has actually had for quite some time, but only ridden about 5 times hehe} to the gym and doing her workout and then riding it back! It gives T a chance to use her cute bike and at the same time get a little extra workout! :)

Has anyone been faithful about working out or eating healthy these past few weeks? Do you do anything that makes it more fun and enjoyable?

While working out on the elliptical do your feet ever go numb? Not sure if anyone else has experienced it, but T sure does! and it can be really annoying! So T posted this question on one of her livestrong groups and got an answer...yay! It is called "Sleepy foot Syndrome"! She had to laugh...what a name! :) T likes to tell all her family members that she has sleepy foot syndrome and get a little chuckle out of it. It may sound funny, but it is exactly that! When you walk your feet move too...but while on an elliptical your legs move, but your feet don't...so for some people they may fall asleep or go numb. They say all you need to do is wiggle your feet or move them from heel to toe as you do your workout. T will give it a try and see if it helps any! :) BUT she also thinks it is her shoes. T has been blessed with fred flintstone feet...CHUBBY! haha. So maybe she also needs to get some new, comfy, wide shoes?

mmm mmm good!

The 2 Phat Chicks new FAV salad dressing...Newman's Own Low Fat Sesame Ginger dressing. It is the absolute best salad dressing to use if you want a fabulous tasting, low calorie, salad dressing that will help keep you within your daily calorie intake. With just 35 calories and 1.5 grams of fat for two tablespoons, it simply can’t be beat! And if you are a fan of asian salad dressings, you will love it! oh...and while shopping at the store T & J happened to look at other asian dressings and they were a whopping 125 calories! This one truly can't be beat! :)

So...what is YOUR fav dressing to use while eating ensalada?! (T felt like using one of the few words she learned while working at Costa Vida )

the night time blues.

Do any of you guys ever have the urge to do a workout at 9:45 PM?! Well The 2 Phat Chicks sure did! As they were looking through their blog and how crappy they have done lately...it suddenly occured to them that they should do a last minute work out video. So here it goes...yay for night time workouts! :)

So if you are wanting to count calories there is this really cool website The 2 Phat Chicks use {and hopefully more so again} WWW.LIVESTRONG.COM You can create and account for FREE and join groups that give you the motivation and support you need! Some weigh-in every week and have little weekly challenges...good stuff! :) Another bonus is counting your calories. You put in how much you weigh and how much you want to lose each week and it gives you an idea of how many calories you should consume each week to lose that weight. Then you go to your "daily plate" and look up the food you eat and it keeps track of it for you and how many calories you have left for the day. And you can also track your workouts and how many calories you burned. Awesome, huh?

T loves looking at other blogs {yep, she's addicted} and she came across this one...this lady has some good tips for women trying to lose weight, which is something we all could use! Anyways...T really liked her post today! It is a quote from The Daily Motivator {which seems like an awesome website. T just might be looking at those daily motivations more often} Here it be:

and it starts again...


The 2 Phat Chicks are sooo excited for the new season of The Biggest Loser! Can you say motivational?! {I think we will be seeing some more workouts and weight loss in the future for T and J} These contestants have such amazing, but sad stories...needless to say they all seem so awesome! Daniel is definately one lucky kid to get the chance to come back for yet another season! The 2 Phat Chicks would die to have a chance like that to lose so much weight. {yes...probably LITERALLY too haha} Wasn't it sad to see one of the contestants pass out after finishing just ONE MILE!? Sad! T and J don't want something like that to ever happen to them...which is why they need to get healthy and make a life long change!

Lets just say that a BodyBugg is definately on T and J's wish list! If only it didn't cost a butt load! Maybe one day...

Anyways...T and J are definately excited to watch The Biggest Loser each week! Hopefully it will give them that motivation that they need! :)

WHA wHa wha...

Unfortunately, The 2 Phat Chicks plan to stay on track and keep losing weight has failed {hence the lack of last weeks weigh-in}...but hey live and learn...it's never to late to get back on track! So, luckily, T has a great friend who was kind enough to give her this great, new, work out DVD that seems simply phenomenal. It's called The Tracy Anderson Method. And lets just say she sure does kick your butt into shape even though it looks like she is practically doing nothing! After doing a mere 2 minutes of the arm workout both T and J thought their arms might possibly fall off! SO...the 2 Phat Chicks new plan is to keep counting calories {or shall we say, re-start counting calories} and to do this fabulous new workout video at least 3 times a week! Let's all hope they can keep on track this time and start seeing results...which reminds them tomorrow is their first day to take their monthly measurements...they have to admit they are a tiny bit nervous! :) Wish them luck!

Ughh...Happy Birfday!


Tomorrow is T and J's nieces 1st Birthday Party...you know what that means...cake and lots of yummy food! Even though they are trying to watch their calories that wont stop them from getting to experince Mattison's first Birthday...which means eating all that delicious food! :o)

After waiting forever with the crazy sprint phone people, The 2 Phat Chicks had a craving for one of these beauties! They made a quick stop at the neaest 7-eleven. After practically running over to the slurpee machine, they faced a dilema...WHICH SIZE?! Medium or Large? Medium which would have been the perfect amount and still equally delicious...or the Large which was just a little more delicious. After debating for about 10 seconds, T and J reached for the LARGE...what do you expect? It was only 20 cents more! haha. After slurping for a while they surprisingly found themselves quite sick and wishing they had paid 20 cents less! AND come to find out it was a whopping 403 calories...yikes! You can rest assured they will never make this mistake again. (well...they might!)

what in the trainers...

Sadly, J started her first day of her senior year in high school, leaving T without her gym partner...but luckily mama phat chick joined her! :) Of course, another story to be told!

T was doing her usual routine of cardio and decided to do a few weights. Mama phat chick was still talking to someone, so T had to go all by herself...tear. She really hates doing workouts by herself because she ALWAYS seems to get attacked by the trainers! Of course, while doing an inner thigh machine, T made eye contact with one of the many trainers...and he came up to her and said -"Can i ask you a question? -"sure" -"Do you want to build muscle or tone and lose fat?" -"tone and lose fat" - "OK...well then follow me and i will show you some workouts" Ughhh...of course they see a lonely, chubby girl and instantly think 'she needs to lose weight, we can get her to buy a membership' thought T. She decided to go with him anyway and see what it was like. Let's just say T is totally out of shape and got her butt kicked...even if it was only for about 10 minutes! Mr. Trainer guy continued to annoy and pressure T...but she finally escaped...and she will definitely be back tomorrow morning! :)

Workin' up a sweat!

On those days when T and J don't feel like encountering those crazy people at the gym...they work out in the comforts of their own home, doing workout DVD's. Some of which may have been taped in the 80's...complete with: ugly hair do's, hideous thong unitards, and the great 80's workout music! You gotta love it! :) But hey they still get the job done! On this particular day T and J were jammin' out with Leslie Sansone while she taught them how to "Walk Away The Pounds." T recently bought a new DVD that they are ancious to try out..."The Biggest Loser Boot Camp"...T and J will let you know how it goes!

CALORIES...what's calories?!

The 2 Phat Chicks lived it up this weekend, which may not be such a good thing! With their family reunion and 3 days of celebrating their Dad's Birthday, counting their calories just wasn't on the top of their list...oops! :) Hamburgers, chips, Birthday cake, popsicles, Wood Ranch's garlic rolls, ice cream cake...let's just say T and J definately didn't stay within their calories. No matter how many times you mess up, you can always get back on track! So it's the gym tomorrow at 8:00am for T and J!

T and J spotted getting ready for the Beach...

Boy do they have a story for YOU!

{PLEASE READ THIS STORY IN A RUSSIAN ACCENT WHEN NECCESARY}

Another day at the gym for the 2 phat chicks. After working out on the ellyptical for a few minutes, J wasn't feeling too good, so while T continued her workout J went down to the locker room to sit in the sauna until T was done. As she was walking to the sauna, she saw an old lady wrapped in a towel, whom we will title OLGA, just walking in. J was a little hesitant to go in because she had had past experiences with old ladies in towels...none of which are pleasant! But she decided to tough it out and face the sauna and Olga. J walked in, sat on the bench and thought to herself "just look straight ahead and it will all be fine!" Out of the corner of her eye J saw Olga puting on some deodorant and in the process dropping her towel. "Oh crap, this is going to be awkward!" thought J. Then all of a sudden J hears a rich Russian accent fill the room. "Yesterday it was so crowded in here i could barely walk." J realized Olga was waiting for a response, "Oh yea i hate it when it's crowded." Keep in mind that while Olga was talking she was completely butt naked!! As Olga continues talking about her trips to L.A., her bus rides, her sleep patterns, her doctors recommendations to take diuretics, how she's peed alot ever since she's been a child, etc. she is putting on underwear {no bra though}, putting on lotions and basically just enjoying being free in the sauna. J was dying inside. Luckily Olga decided to put her dress on, but this didn't stop the talking. "Save me T!", J thought. All of a sudden with a glow behind her head T appears in the doorway. T walks in and starts to talk to J. Then Olga asks "Are you seesters?" Of course their reply was "yes." "I could tell, except she {as she points to T} is much beeger {makes a circle with her arms around her stomache}" She continues and says..."Now that you are young you really need to come work out and eat good food like salad and feesh" "You need to say to yourself 'i am so preetty, i need to just lose weight' because you guys are so preetty" "Have you tried the program Weight Watchers? When i did it 40 yearS ago they didn't let me eat oils, so i get seek, but now it's good so you should try it" "One thing i learned, you're stomache not know what it's filled with, so make biig salad {motions a big plate} with lots of vegetables and 'chomp chomp' {eating with a fork}"...and the list could go on and on and on! Inbetween her talking T and J said things such as "uh huh...oh yea...i know...we are working at it...yup." T and J tried to avoid eye contact with eachother knowing they would burst into laughter the moment they did. The second Olga left the room, T and J turned to eachother, rolled their eyes and started laughing.
